When you first arrive in Waslala, it is easy to find yourself overwhelmed. Most of the volunteer engineers and nurses are college students, many of whom have never left the United States before. Waslala is a beautiful but rural and remote part of the world. Although the people live on simple farms, they are extremely welcoming and appreciative of the help Water for Waslala provides them.
